Where We At?

So I realize I disappeared for a while and I'm probably not going to come back and post regularly just yet, but I wanted to give and update on what is going on in my little corner of the world.

I spent a lot of time outlining and planning a fantasy series but right before it was time to start actually writing, I found an old story of mine and it sucked me in. I spent a couple weeks reworking what I'd written and making a new outline and character bios and this Monday I started writing. Things are going great with it.

The story is called Queen of the Mountain at the moment and it is a stand alone new adult/upper YA romance. I really like it and it's been a lot of fun to work on so far. I'm busting out chapters like nobody's business so I'm hoping to finish it in a couple of weeks.

Avalanche is still on hold while I get space from it. I was too damn close and the distance will help me better understand what areas need more work and what areas are ready to go. When I finish the first draft of the book I'm on now, I will return to Avalanche for another round of edits then send it off to beta readers to get feedback.

I'm excited about the things that are happening right now and hoping to have Avalanche out for my mailing list by the end of the year at the latest, but it will really depend on how long it takes to get back from betas and editors.

I'll be back to update you guys later, but I don't know when I'll be back to making weekly posts. Please be patient with me while I'm in this weird headspace. My mental health is actually pretty great right now minus a few issues with sleep and not getting enough of it. I'm not sure why I'm struggling with the admin side of things right now. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that I took a long break from writing and I feel I need to focus my attention on getting back in the habit of that. Everything else feels kind of wrong at the moment while I try to get a grip on my creativity. So while I'm doing whatever it is I do... thank you so much for your patience!
